People all over the world that have been trying to quit smoking for years have probably tried just about anything from patches to gum to you name it.  Until now there really hasn’t been an easy way for someone to stop smoking.  A recent invention called the electronic cigarette is creating a huge buzz in the smoking community.  It’s because the electric cigarette has made it possible for smokers to instantly stop smoking and start “vaping.”

Electronic cigarettes don’t emit any smoke at all.  It functions in a similar manner to that of a traditional tobacco cigarette, but doesn’t contain any smoke.  The smoke-like substance that is inhaled and exhaled is actually a vapor.  The vapor is a nicotine solution that gives the smoker a sensation that they are actually smoking, but no smoke at all is being inhaled into the lungs.  The hit from the nicotine vapor tastes very similar to that of regular smoke.  This is what is making it possible for people to stop smoking very easily.  They look very similar to  that of a traditional tobacco cigarette too.

So how do they work?  The electronic cigarette is comprised of a few parts like the atomizer, the battery, the cartridge, and the tube that houses all of the elements.  When a user inhales on the end of the tube, the battery activates the atomizer.  The atomizer then heats up the nicotine solution that is inside of the cartridges.  The nicotine solution is then in vapor form and is inhaled into the user.  The smoker then exhales the vapor.  The vapor from blu cigs, looks very similar to regular smoke, but evaporates very quickly.  This leaves no lingering smell, and there is no chance for second hand smoke.

Although electronic cigarettes haven’t been around long enough to do any extensive medical research, it doesn’t take a doctor to tell you that not inhaling thousands of deadly poisons present in traditional tobacco cigarettes would be a step in the right direction.  The electronic cigarette is already becoming very popular in its country of origin, China and into Europe.  In recent months, there has been a huge surge in the number of electronic cigarette sales in the United States too.

The overall look and feel of an electronic cigarette is what makes this device so revolutionary.  If proven to be a safer alternative to traditional tobacco cigarettes, this could likely save millions of lives.     Aside from the potential health benefits, the financial benefits could be a plus too.  If you smoke a pack of cigarettes a day, you could easily spend over $1,000 a year on them.  With a cheap electronic cigarette, you would save almost 75 percent.  The added benefit of being able to use them wherever you want and whenever you want is also a plus.  Since the smoking bans in the United States are only targeted toward cigarette products that contain tobacco, the electronic cigarette can be used anytime because it contains no tobacco.
